DivisionSworn Update: New AO

Hi all! Thanks for taking an interest in this project.

In this latest update, I'm adding an Area of Operation: Boston.

This update includes 2 maps: A blank Boston map, as well as a Boston map pre-filled with icons. Some of the icons are pretty straightforward (IE the aquarium), others are not. You are welcome to use either. I've also included a blank map, in case you want to draw your own.

Hey!

Lone-time Division fan looking to scratch that Division itch via a tabletop RPG. I know it's been a while, but please tell me you're still planning on producing more content?

Yes! I am, thanks! I’ve been trying to figure out if I need to update the language for Star forged or keep iron sworn. Thoughts?

It was pure luck that led to me finding your work, but thank you for the time you’ve put in!

I’ll be honest, I’ve played neither (though own and have read both), but I don’t see a huge issue with the wording as it stands. Certainly any discrepancies can be easily smoothed out at the table. Starforged certainly seems to have taken the simplicity of Ironsworn and tuned it so that the moves are slightly more specific.

How much have you played with Division Sworn? Solo, guided..? What kinds of things have you got up to in-game? I’m super curious to know how it has worked for you, and whether you’ve introduced or converted any additional systems e.g. using Starforged’s ‘Command Vehicle’ as a framework for the Division’s base of operations etc?

Thanks man! I really appreciate it. I started this because my friends and I love the Division, and it felt like such a good fit to convert Ironsworn to it.

We've played coop a bunch, specifically I designed a special version of the character sheets so we could play it in a car on a road trip. It was a little wild, but it worked well.

In the next couple of weeks I'm going to drop an update that will include a ton of Oracles: I have over 100 locations, location attributes (like, used now as a shelter, or fallen into decay), over 100 faction names that can be used singularly or combined to create a faction, faction behaviors, government types (how they are ruled), sliders and guidance on how to set their behavior, and even a bunch of stuff for allied NPCs. There's one oracle that's just 100 jobs your ally could've had before the outbreak.

All of this works in concert to create such a better experience. New mission oracles help you figure out what you're supposed to do next, and all of it just feels much more cohesive.

I've thought a lot about adapting the Winterhall Ironsworn supplement to Division Sworn 2.0, I just haven't had the time to fully wrap my head around it. I love that idea, though- being able to build up a base (and recruit folks to run it). Maybe that'll be DS 2.5 :)

Super cool stuff! Are you still adding content?

Yes yes! Any suggestions, fellow agent?
