Surprise, captains!

While I haven't added all the latest space frames into this zine, I have made a few specific, important updates. 

Character Sheet

A few quick updates here- as noted in previous devlogs, I've updated the pip size in character creation, as well as increased the duty roster size. I also lowered the opacity on the duty roster- it helped this page feel less...overwhelming. 

Maps Update

I've updated the maps section, as areas of operation just felt too big. With 3 pages, it also dominated a lot of the book. I got some feedback that folks were often writing things directly into the map, instead of on the side, so it felt like a big step to shrink the maps and make more space. 

Also, I renamed it cartographic records, and gave it a little polish to make it feel more in-game. 

Oracles!

Yes! One of the few things left that I felt I was towing around with me was my deck of the Mythic Game master. As you've heard me say, I wanted to ensure that everyone was using just the single zine, and not needing to carry a second thing around, outside of the book. 

So, I was careful not to replicate or replace any existing tables in Captain's Log (which are incredible, by the way). Instead, I tried to just bring in a few Oracles that could help: Subjects, Actions, Descriptors, and Plot Twists. 

They're all pretty self explanatory. If you need to, you can pair a subject and action, to help prompt what happens next! Or, if you're bored, add a plot twist to that. Descriptors are great to add to any of the above. 

This is now the new last page, so that its easy to reference no matter which mission you're playing. The additional notes has become the Records Annex, and it's on the page adjacent to this, so that you can easily reference those, too. 

New Ships

What would a release be without new ships!? 

With only a slim lineup this time around, please enjoy the:

Adding ships with specific roles has always been a top priority of mine, and I'm glad to introduce ships across the major time periods that follow those guidelines. With three new ships in the 32nd century, you can help Starfleet rebuild after the Burn. 

This is a beta

I'm referring to this as a beta, as I will keep the original version up for now. Once I finalize the oracles, we'll cement this (as well as add the rest of the ships!)
